Rein is a Beast Tamer who fights alongside heroes to bring down the Demon King. But one day his comrades declare him useless and kick him out of the party, after which he decides to start a carefree life as an adventurer. During the test he must pass to become an adventurer, he runs into a girl named Kanade who is being attacked by a monster. Rein risks his life to make sure she can escape, but then she brings down the monster in one hit. It turns out that Kanade is from the inordinately powerful tribe of cat people, one of the strongest species! She becomes attracted to his combination of talent and gentle nature and asks: "Would you try to tame me?" Rein forms a contract with the strongest cat-eared girl and starts his new life as an adventurer. The heroes who kicked him out of the party, as well as other stronger species, take notice of his power.

The story follows the "indecipherable" daily life of the short and quiet Reina Aharen and Raidou who sits next to her in class. Aharen is not so good at gauging the distance between people (or personal boundaries), and Raidou initially sensed some distance between the two of them. Then one day, when Raidou picked up the eraser that Aharen had dropped, the distance between them suddenly became uncomfortably close. From "way too distant" to "way too close" ... Aharen is simply unpredictable.

خلاصه داستان : وقتی که کوچیک بود، میرا کینوهاتا در اردوگاهی در شهر با پسری به اسم آئو ملاقات کرد. میرا فهمید که ستاره ای همنام با خودش وجود داره ولی ستاره ای به اسم آئو وجود نداره. اون دو به هم قول دادند که روزی آسمان‌ها رو باهم دیگه اکتشاف کنند و ستاره ای رو پیدا کنند و اون رو همنام با آئو نامگذاری کنند. چندین سال بعد میرا در دبیرستان «هوشیزوکی» ثبت نام میکنه و تصمیم میگیره که به باشگاه ستاره شناسی ملحق بشه تا به قولش عمل کنه. ولی اون متوجه میشه که قراره باشگاه ستاره شناسی با انجمن تحقیقات زمین شناسی ادغام بشه تا باشگاه علوم زمین رو تشکیل بده. با اکراه، میرا به اتاق باشگاه میره و اونجا با آئو ماناکا ملاقات میکنه، کسی که بهش قول داد تا با هم دیگه آسمان هارو اکتشاف کنند، و وقتی که میفهمه اون یه دختر بوده شوکه میشه!

In a fateful childhood encounter, Mira Kinohata met a stargazing dreamer named Ao Manaka. Though their time together was short, Ao showed Mira the wonders of astronomy, from orbiting planets to distant stars. Before they parted, Mira learned that a star with her name exists, but there are none with Ao's. And so, she forged a promise: one day, she would discover a new asteroid and name it after Ao. Years later, Mira is still fascinated with astronomy. Now in high school at Hoshizaki Academy, she tries to join the Astronomy Club. Unfortunately, she finds out that the club has been merged with the Geology Club to form a single Earth Sciences Club. She joins this new club and finds a pleasant surprise—she reunites with Ao after years of separation. Alongside their new clubmates, Mira and Ao begin their journey together to fulfill their promise. How hard could it possibly be to find an asteroid?
