خلاصه داستان : در آغاز فیلم گروهی از شکارچیان غیرقانونی حیوانات به گروهی از گوریل ها حمله می کنند. محافظین حیوانات نیز با شکارچیان درگیر می شوند و سرانجام یک گوریل و مادر یک دختر کوچک کشته می شوند. در این میان یک بچه گوریل به رهبر شکارچیان حمله کرده و انگشت شست و سبابه او را قطع می کند. چند سال می گذرد و دختر بچه بزرگ شده و بچه گوریل نیز تبدیل به یک گوریل بسیار عظیم الجثه شده است. این دو دوستان صمیمی هستند و دختر او را جویانگ صدا می زند. پس از مدتی دوباره سر وکله شکارچیان پیدا می شود بنابراین نماینده سازمان حمایت از حیوانات دختر را راضی می کند تا گوریل را به لس آنجلس منتقل کنند و...
