خلاصه داستان : داستان در سده های میانی چین افسانه ای اتفاق می افتد. لی شیائو یائو، ولگرد بی سرو پا، به جزیره ی رویایی سفر می کند تا دارویی برای بهبودی عمه ی بیمارش بیابد. و در آنجا عشق زندگی اش را ملاقات و با او ازدواج می کند.در راه برگشت در حالیکه دارو را نیز به همراه دارد، متوجه می شود که الهه‌ی ماه وی را فریب داده و توانسته لینگ اِر را بدزدد. و در حالیکه تمام سفرش به جزیره ی رویایی را به فراموشی سپرده در تخت خویش از خواب برمی خیزد، ولی…….

The series is based on the original version of the RPG The Legend of Sword and Fairy. It was followed by Chinese Paladin 3 in 2009. The series brings together cast members from China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber is a Chinese television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel of the same title. It is a final installment of a trilogy produced by Zhang Jizhong, preceded by The Legend of the Condor Heroes and The Return of the Condor Heroes. Unlike most of the previous adaptations, this remake is the first to be primarily based on the third edition of the novel. The series was first broadcast on Wenzhou TV in China in October 2009.
